Internet-of-Things innovator establishes US-specific fulfilment hub to expand operations for logistics tracking and data service
London, UK – Chicago, USA – 11 September, 2018 – Hanhaa Limited the Internet-of-Things innovator, today announced a partnership with iD Commerce + Logistics (iD) the Chicago-based business process and fulfilment outsourcer, to support the US distribution and reverse logistics for its ParceLive data trackers.
As the largest transportation centre in central North America, and a global logistics hub, Chicago is the ideal location to manage the fulfilment of the ParceLive trackers that create the data that powers ParceLive’s logistics data services.
ParceLive trackers are inserted into shipments and enable Third-Party Logistics Providers (3PLs), logistics companies and corporate shippers to access a host of data on supply chain activities; including shipment location, temperature, humidity and when a consignment has been opened.
With cellular data carried across Hanhaa’s wholly-owned mobile network, Hanhaa Mobile, ParceLive is an international solution that provides US customers with a unified data-flow about shipments across the USA and to almost anywhere in the world.
With a built-in return logistics system, comprising of US postal licenses enabled by a dynamic e-ink return address label, ParceLive trackers are seamlessly returned to iD’s Chicago facility (after use) where data is erased and the tracker readied for a new journey within ParceLive’s data logistics system – when a shipper needs more trackers, they’re bulk-shipped to the point-of-despatch by iD.

Since announcing a corporate investment in May 2018 by Avnet, the leading global technology distributor headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona, Hanhaa has accelerated its US expansion and will be showcasing its solutions at key events across the US, including EDGE 2018 in Nashville, Tennessee from 30 September to 03 October 2018.

According to SelectUSA, a US government-wide program led by the US Department of Commerce, spending in the US logistics and transportation industry totalled $1.4 trillion in 2016 equivalent to 7.5 percent of US GDP that year, as the US economy continues to expand, the need for data insights to optimise the logistics supply-chain has never been more important.
